FIRST SOLO MALE COUNTRY ARTIST IN 17 YEARS TO HAVE FIRST TWO SINGLES REACH #1
Nashville, TN – On July 13, Mercury Nashville and BMI honored Easton Corbin for being the first solo male country artist in 17 years to have his first two singles reach number one at radio. Corbin performed the songs that gave him this honor, “A Little More Country Than That” (written by Rory Feek/Don Poythress/Wynn Varble) and “Roll With It” (Tony Lane/David Lee/Johnny Park), during an intimate acoustic set at an industry gathering at BMI. Accompanying Corbin on guitar was Carson Chamberlain, the producer of Corbin’s critically acclaimed self-titled album which was released last year.
